BBC star Shirley Ballas has confessed her bottom is covered in tattoos. In the cheeky revelation, the Strictly Come Dancing judge, 63, admitted that she has illustrations of both a butterfly and frog, as well as a nod to her boyfriend, Danny Taylor.
On Saturday she was unveiled as the Rat on ITV's The Masked Singer. While stood alongside Joel Dommett the star made the hilarious admission as she spoke to Olly Murs.
During a pre-recorded video which gives away clues to the show’s judges, a tattoo gun is featured in the tape. After she was unmasked guest judge Olly Murs asked her if she has tattoos.
She said: “All over my backside. All over, and all over, and all over." Before later saying: “I have tattoos on my bottom - a butterfly which represents freedom on one side”.
Shirley went on to add: “When my brother was alive, he was a fisherman, and he used to see all these beautiful frogs when he was out and about." Speaking of the tribute to her late sibling, she said: “So when he passed away I put a beautiful frog on my backside.”
The star held back nothing when it came to telling the audience of her body art. She quipped: "I put my boyfriend’s name on my bottom as well. I’m not sure if it’s a good thing or a bad thing. But we’re still together, so…”
The dancer went on to tell viewers that she might add to her tattoo collection. She said: “I think for Rat I might get an R on my ankle or wrist. I love Rat. I’m in love."
On Monday, Shirley appeared on Lorraine and shared that she is besotted with the animal.
The Wallasey-born star said: “In love with the rat, I love rats I want a stuffed rat”.
