S Club's Jon Lee gives update on sudden cancellation after one gig
The pop group S Club cancelled their Liverpool concert just moments before they were due to take to the stage at the M&S Bank Arena on Friday evening.
S Club says Paul would have been 'annoyed' if they cancelled the tour
S Club band member Jon Lee has shared the real reason why the Liverpool concert was cancelled last minute.
On Friday evening, the band pulled out of their gig just hours before they were due to take to the stage at the M&S Bank Arena.
Taking to social media, they posted an emotional statement and said that they were "devastated" by the decision.
Jon has since set the record straight to explain what happened, saying that there was a "fire in the building".
Speaking into his camera, he said: "We're so sorry our Liverpool date has been cancelled tonight.

"There was a fire in the building, which knocked out some of the electrics, which meant it was completely unsafe for us to allow an audience into the arena.
"It was not our decision, we were fighting to perform."
Meanwhile, a statement from M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool said yesterday: "Due to an unforeseen technical issue which is beyond our control and is impacting the power supply, we have sadly been forced to take the decision - with the event promoter - to postpone tonight’s performance by S Club.
"We understand that S Club fans and the band will be very disappointed but as the safety and comfort of our visitors is our utmost priority, the show cannot proceed as planned."

The gig has been rescheduled to Monday October 30.
The pop band are currently embarking on their UK and Ireland Tour, but have only performed in one city so far before their shock cancellation.
S Club, originally named S Club 7, were formed in 1998 and rose to prominence with four UK number-one singles.
Earlier this year in March, the band announced that they would be coming back together for a tour to mark their 25th anniversary.
However, a few weeks later former bandmate Paul Cattermole died of natural causes at the age of 46.
The band later changed their name to S Club.
